Skanska improves construction safety with BookIT DDM Application

Skanska, one of the world’s leading companies for construction-related services, has been using the BookIT DDM Technology to enhance traditional safety observation systems. For Skanska, development of workplace safety, is an issue of the highest priority, in which the BookIT DDM Application has proven to be an excellent tool. By using the BookIT DDM Application Skanska has been able to speed up the flow of information and has reduced the time of resolving safety issues from four days to two hours.

 The BookIT DDM Application has reinforced the traditional paper form-based construction safety observation method by providing mobility between construction management, personnel and subcontractor networks. The application provides the management with a tool to sending real-time notifications and alarms of necessary repairs to key personnel. The personnel can easily confirm the receipt of the assignments and also the completion of the task by the BookIT One Button-principle. If confirmations are not sent within a pretermined time frame, the application automatically sends birectional Intelligent SMS reminders.
